Here are the totally Scroggin directions to convention....
Please read the entire thing through before you leave.

Find your way to Rt. 22.  Go West Young Man!

22 will turn into I-78, continue west....

I-78 will turn into I-81, Continue west toward Harrisburg and Carlisle

Harrisburg is the capital of Pennsylvania and is located on the Susquehanna
river which is the large river that you cross.  The State capitol should be
visible to your left.  Harrisburg is also the city nearest the Three Mile
Island nuclear plant.

Stay on I-81.  Do not get on to I-83 or the Turnpike or bad things will happen.

Follow I-81 past Carlisle and Chambersburg, PA to Hagerstown MD.

Carlisle is the home of Dickinson College as well as the Army War College.
This section of road is probably under-destruction and is generally sucky
until you cross the Mason-Dixon line.  This valley was used by R.E. Lee to
screen his troop movements in the days before the battle of Gettysburg which is
just beyond South Mountain off to your left.

Get on I-70 West at Hagerstown.

Near Hancock MD, Get on I-68 West.

After a few miles look for the really neat cut through the mountain.  There is
a visitors center there if you want to stretch your legs and look at old
rocks.  Along this stretch of road you are roughly following the Potomac River
and the old B&O railroad.  (For more info, ask Mario, he knows this area a bit
too well...)

Proceed through Cumberland and stay on I-68 west.

Cumberland is the home of Kelly Springfield Tires and was the terminus of the
Chesapeake and Ohio canal and the beginning of the National Road.  Just past
Cumberland is Frostberg, MD, home of Frostberg State Univ and a neat
restaurant in the old train station.

Stay on I-68 West until you get to Morgantown, WV.  Follow directions in
packet to motel and WVU.  Have fun!

Total travel distance:  310 miles
No Turnpikes, toll roads or bridges involved.
