bcg2 03/30/01 14:04 Saturday concerts - LCO and LPO programs
To enjoy the maximum in musical entertainment at Lehigh on Saturday, come out to the Lehigh Chamber Orchestra concert at 8pm, featuring Ottorino Respighi - Ancient Airs and Dances Suite III J.S. Bach - Concerto in a minor for Violin and Orchestra R. Strauss - Till Eulenspiegel, quintet with Phong Ta, Matt Hefner, Sue Glod, Vanessa Williams, Carter Henry F.J. Haydn - Symphony No. 104, "London" Then, truck on over to Lamberton to see Dave's jazz quintet at 10:30. A side note: you can find Dave performing in both concerts Saturday night. On April 21st, at 8pm, same day as 3rd Degree, the Lehigh Philharmonic Orchestra (more inclusive group than the LCO) will perform some excellent Czech Romantic works Antonin Dvorak - Symphony No. 9, "From the New World" Bedrich Smetana - The Moldau Ernest Chausson - "Poeme" for Violin and Orchestra (featuring the winner of the 4th Annual Concerto Competition) Following that, many will be be going glow bowling . . . hopefully with some Brothers visiting from other chapters across the district. Be so there and witness music happen with your fellow Brothers OR stay in your room and download MP3s OR sleep! (but I recommend the first option) __________________ Brian C. Green bcg2@lehigh.edu
