Meeting Minutes 2/27/03 
Meeting called to order at 8:05 PM 
18 Brothers were present 
Previous Meeting Minutes were read and approved. 
 
OFFICER REPORTS: 
President: 
-We were nominated for the A. Frank Martin top chapter award 
-If you want to help with the award, talk to Rachel 
 
Vice President: 
-MC’s had their test yesterday 
-MC meeting are Wednesdays at 9:30 PM, except this week which will be at 10:00 PM 
 
Treasurer: 
-Bigs, please see Mike K at the end of the meeting 
-Mike K spoke with Nadine Sine.  We will be contributing $800 towards the purchase of the new soprano saxophone. 
 
Corresponding Secretary: 
-Residential services is being stupid 
-Anyone who can drive a van to Districts, please talk to Heather B 
-We will be leaving at around noon the Thursday of Spring Break to head down to Districts 
-For the upcoming newsletter, please consider writing something 
 
Alumni Secretary: 
-Lauren has a sheet for those of you interested in information about becoming a Life Member 
 
Historian: 
-We are making a District Display Board.  If you’re interested in helping, please talk to Kym 
-A scrapbook was purchases for the Iota Historian 
-The MC’s will be working on history and family trees at the next MC meeting 
 
Parliamentarian: 
-If anyone needs to see the amendments from last week, take a sheet 
 
COMMITTEE REPORTS: 
Service: 
-Lehigh lessons are cancelled and will be rescheduled 
-Broughal Fundraising will be going on in the UC next week, sign up on the sheet if you’re free to help 
-There is a food sign up sheet going around 
-There will be a meeting on Monday, March 3 at 9:15 PM 
 
Social: 
-The formal is Saturday, March 22, from 7-11 PM at the Ramada Inn.  Price is TBD, but will be approximately $25-30. 
 
Fundraising: 
-There is a sign up sheet for concessions going around 
-If there is anyone else who can help, please email Lauren S 
 
NE Notes: 
-A letter was read to vote on 
-Creativity- meeting at noon on Saturday 
-Web- instructions on articles will be coming this weekend 
 
Re-colonization of Zeta Alpha: 
-The advising chapter report is being sent out soon.  Please send any conversations you’ve had with Bloomsburg to EJ 
-Saturday there will be a lesson at 3 PM at Bloomsburg.  Talk to EJ after the meeting if you’re interested in going. 
 
NEW BUSINESS: 
-The jurisdiction committee moves to adopt the proposed amendments 
   *Heather B moves to table this for one week.  Seconded by Lauren G.  Motion  
    Fails. 
   *Kate moves to amend 6.10 by adding “in an academic year”.  Seconded by EJ. 
   *Brian G moves to strike “in an academic year” and replace it  
    with “simultaneously”.  Seconded by Heather B.  Motion Passes. 
    Motion Passes 
 
   *Heather B moves to amend “by the end of final exams” of 1.17 to read “by  
    the end of RCS”.  Seconded by Mike K. 
   *Brian G moves to replace “by the end of RCS” with “beginning of finals”.   
    Seconded by EJ.  Motion Passes.

Amendments Pass as Amended 
 
-Kym moves to do the chapter composites ourselves.  Seconded by Brian B.  Motion Passes. 
-Kym moves to no accept the previously read letter for publishing into the Northeast Notes.  Seconded by Kate.   
   *Brian G moves to refer the matter to the committee.  Seconded by EJ.   
    Motion Passes.   
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS: 
-Please look into the Lehigh Portal, portal.lehigh.edu 
-Saturday, April 12, at 3 PM is Jul’s interpreting concert at Bloomsburg.  Talk to Kym if you’re interested in going. 
-There is Pep Band tomorrow.  Donagan elementary school kids are coming and we need people.  Tell Sandy by midnight tonight if you can attend. 
-Come see Professor Diggs’s East Wind Quintet Concert at 3 PM on Sunday 
-Chapter meetings will be in ZAC Room 345 for the rest of the semester 
-If you are interested in purchasing oatmeal raisin cookie dough, please see Matt 
-If you are interested in purchasing a discount card from the Broughal fundraiser, please see Matt
