From: Nate HunsingerMeeting called to order at 7:30PM 24 Brothers Present. The previous meetings minutes were read and approved. I. Officer Reports: A. President: 1. Eudora was at a Kappa Kappa Psi Presidents conference at the University of Maryland this past weekend, and she said that the weekend was very informative. 2. Chapters Dues will be $60 they are due by September 31st, in the form of a check made out to Lehigh University. Late Fees will be charge if the Dues are hand in after the due date. 3. The Chapter Personnel report was passed it needed to filled out by every brother and signed. 4. The National Intercollegiate Band is going to the French Rivera and anyone can go. The cost is estimated to be $1600, and if you interested contact Eudora for information. 5. We received our Chapter Feedback from Districts and Nationals. Districts and Nationals are happy with us, but a big issue is that we need to give money to our bands and ensembles. If you have you any ideas on how we can raise money for our bands contact Heather. 6. If you are interested in running for a District Office there are guidelines set in place to follow. Contact Eudora for the information. B. Vice President: 1. Michelle asked that everyone try to commit the purposes and creed to memory by the next brotherhood meeting. She would like to begin every meeting by reciting the purposes, preamble, and the creed. 2. A motion was made to sponsor and supply food at the breaks at Wind and Jazz Ensemble Practices once a week. The Motion was passed. Michelle will be purchasing the food, and she needs people to help her on Tuesdays at 9:00pm to give it out. 3. Michelle is setting up a meeting time with the Zeta class to plan PIE for this semester. The Zeta class will be running Pie this semester. C. Treasurer: 1. It was reiterated that Dues are $60 and to be handed in to Nick by September 31st. 2. We received the budget from the Student Senate they gave us $863. 3. The last chance to order letters will be next week, see nick if you want to buy letters. E. Recording Secretary: 1. An updated phone list was passed around and asked to check for correctness and to be amended if any of the information was incorrect. F. Corresponding Secretary: 1. Northeast District Convention is March 22nd-25th at Syracuse University. The theme is "Chill on the Hill". 2. Jeff is trying to create a newsletter for our chapter, and he is looking for a title. If you have any ideas please let him know about theme. 3. Jeff also asked that brothers write something for Northeast Notes. If you are interested in writing something contact Jeff. G. Historian: 1. Rachel had some old Chapter awards that she received from Mario. They were passed around for everyone to look at. H. Alumni Secretary: 1. If anyone has anything important that they would like to have put in the Alumni Letter contact Keith. I. Parliamentarian: Nothing II. Committee Reports: A. Social Individual: 1. Glow bowling will be this Friday September 8th at the Rose Bowl. The meeting time is 10:30pm in front of Zoelner. 2. The first brotherhood dinner will be Monday September 11th at the Ground Round. Meeting time and Place to be Determined. 3. Game Night will be Monday September 25th at 7:00pm in Warren Square E. 4. If you are interested in going to Lock Haven's 25th Anniversary contact Juan. 5. There is a trip tentatively planned to go to Dorney Park on October 1st. 6. A Halloween Party with Mustard and Cheese is being looked into. 7. An Ice Skating outing will be scheduled for sometime in November. B. Fundraising: 1. A Car Wash has been scheduled Sunday September 17th from 1:00pm-5:00pm in front of Fairchild Library. Also a Car Wash maybe scheduled for Sunday October 1st, which maybe in conflict with some Global Union activities. 2. The Pin in the Face contest is going to start on Tuesday September 12th. 3. The Service Auction is scheduled to be on Sunday October 29th at 3:00pm. 4. The selling of bookstore items at home football and basketball games is being looked into. C. Service: 1. The first committee meeting was held and the new ideas that were brought up were: Writing letters to everyone in the music department offering our service to them. Finishing the MC Robes for degrees. Making reading scrolls for to use at Degrees. Going back to the pre-school, which was one of the Zeta classes service projects. Being a host for any recruited music students that there may be. And an Instrument Drive for Broughal. D. Jurisdiction: 1. The Next Jurisdiction committee meeting will be Monday September 11th at 8:30pm in 473 Montclair Ave after the MEP Committee meeting is over. E. MEP: 1. The roster lists are coming in, the roster list from the Marching band was received, and the list from the Wind and Jazz Ensembles are still being waited for. Also a record of the people that only participated in the Symphonic band last year is trying to found. 2. A Poster/Flyer contest has been proposed. The objective is to promote brotherhood within the Fraternity while promoting the fraternity to prospective brothers. The guidelines are that each person has to work with at least one other brother, and each group must have representation from different classes. Make the Poster/Flyer on an 8.5" x 11" inch paper. Leave room for date, time, and location information. The deadline to have designs done is Thursday September 14th at the meeting. The designs will be judge by the MEP committee. The winning group will receive a Free Precincts t-shirt and a pizza and soda on Michelle. All the designs will be hung in Zoelner, and the winning design will be sent to all the prospective members. 3. The next MEP committee meeting will be September 11th at 8:00pm at 473 Montclair Ave. F. Awards: 1. The first awards committee meeting will Monday September 11th at 5:30pm in the 3rd Floor Lobby of Zoelner Arts Center. III. Old Business: A. Every Brother has to be on at least one committee. B. The Web page has been updated with a lot of new information, check it out and give feed back. IV. New Business: A. A new Service idea was given by Jared, He suggested that we advertise free ice cream at the intermissions of Wind and Jazz ensemble, and Symphonic band Concerts. B. Will all the Committee Chairs please see the Recording Secretary after the meeting. C. Interest was made in having a Chapter Retreat, which would be an overnight trip of fun activities to have a bonding experience for the whole chapter.
