Meeting called to order at 7:35PM
23 Brothers Present.
The previous meetings minutes were read and approved.
I. Officer Reports:
A. President:
1. Eudora has some old material concerning the AEA scholarship
program. This could be a possible $1000 scholarship for any brother
with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Contact Eudora if you interested.
B. Vice President:
1. Emails have been sent out to everyone concerning the info sessions,
which will be held Zoellner Arts Center room 211.
2. A reminder was made that the 1st PIE session will be Sunday October
15th at 7:00pm in Zoellner room 345.
C. Treasurer:
1. There are still some dues that need to be handed in.
2. An appeal was made to the student senate concerning allocating
money for membership pins and MEP books.
D. Recording Secretary: Nothing
E. Corresponding Secretary: Nothing
F. Historian: Nothing
G. Alumni Secretary: Nothing
H. Parliamentarian:
1. Motions were made to accept the proposed changes to the by laws
2.05 and 2.6. The changes were discussed and passed by the chapter.
II. Committee Reports:
A. Social Individual:
1. The next social committee meeting will be held after the
brotherhood meeting on October 5th.
B. Fundraising:
1. The Car Wash will be this Sunday October 1st from 1:00pm to
5:00pm. A little was passed around so every brother could sign up for
time that they could work.
2. The Service Auction on Sunday October 29th has been moved to begin
at 5:30pm.
C. Service:
1. A group went to Broughal this passed Wednesday September 27th for
the first time this semester.
2. The service project in the Music Library can be worked on anytime
between 8:00am - 3:00pm on weekdays. Let Lauren know times that you can
work.
3. A visit to the childcare center will next Tuesday October 3rd,
there is a sign up sheet going around give an approximate best time to
go.
D. Jurisdiction: Nothing
E. MEP:
1. The next meeting will be Monday October 2nd at 7:00pm in 473
Montclair Avenue. Come with ideas for a retreat for bigs. Bring your
calendar a preliminary schedule for next semester will be planned.
F. Awards:
1. The next awards committee meeting is Monday October 2nd at 4:00pm
in the 3rd floor lobby of Zoellner Arts Center. The brother of the
month is going to be determined, so send your suggestions by Saturday
and come to the meeting to give your support.
III. Old Business: Nothing
IV. New Business:
A. A plan was suggested to solicit Alumni to pay the dues for brother
that are currently unable to pay the dues.
