Usenet 01/30/03 17:30 Service Notes

From: Matt Casey

As promised, my notes from the service meeting...

Loft Project - Josh is still in charge of the project from a Kappa
perspective, but he needs to work with Kirk (the incoming Librarian for
the 97).

Broughal Fundraiser - Emailed Kim Carrel Smith about times that the kids
have off so that we can get this going.

Buying Instruments - Jazz (and potentiall other bands) need a soprano
sax. Brian talked to Bill W. and he would be willing to split the cost
with us. Prices range from $400-$4000. Marching 97 needs
instruments/repairs. Will contact Randy and Greg (outgoing/incoming
Instrument Managers) about what exactly they need. Nobody can really
tell what they need.

Routine Instrument Maintenance - We'd like to organize some of this
information for band members. Perhaps Diggs will be able to come up to
the loft and demonstrate what needs to commonly be done. We could take
notes, write them up, and have him edit them for accuracy.

Holy Family Manor Spring Concert - Get a date ASAP so that we can have
lots of people. One thing that HFM requested last year was dancers. Is
anyone willing to swing dance to some of the songs? They'd love that,
apparently.

Signups for post-rehearsal food will be going around at the next meeting.

If you don't know what I'm talking about for any of these projects, feel
free to email me or ask me about them in person. I'm not giving much
background here because I don't want carpal-tunnel syndrome.
